Webcomics:
Girl Genius- A steampunk webcomic, and one of my favorites. For those of you that don't know steampunk: Think Victorian clothing styles and clockwork and steam-powered robots.
Gunnerkrigg Court- A science fiction/fantasy webcomic- Its general themes include science, fantasy, alchemy, and mythology from several cultures- specifically the psychopomps, in the case of the mythological themes, though there are other references. It's quite interesting, but hard to summarize very quickly. I suggest taking a look.
XKCD- "a webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language."
Least I Could Do- Let me start by warning you that there were three artists for this comic; My favorite is by far the latest one, Lar Desouza. If you start from the beginning, you'll get art styles that are less polished. It's a humor webcomic, following the many adventures of the main character, Rayne Summers.
Looking for Group- A good comic. :B Humor/adventure/fantasy.
Shortpacked!- Another humor comic. According to Walkypedia!:
"Shortpacked! follows Ethan, Amber, Ninja Rick, and Ronald Reagan as employees at Shortpacked!, a store run by Galasso with plans for global conquest. Joining the cast from Willis' previous comic
It's Walky! are former SEMME agents Robin DeSanto and - although he is supposed to be dead - Mike Warner."
Questionable Content- It's an indie-geek humor webcomic. Faye has issues. It's got over 1000 pages if you start from the beginning, tho'- be warned.
Websites I like:
Superdickery- Actual canon references- usually from the Golden Age- to show: How much Superman is a dick, how much Wonder Woman is totally into bondage (Yeah, I know, it was the comic artists, but still.), how ridiculous Superman's power of making up powers as he needs them is, how ridiculous some of the science was... the list goes on. It's pretty much excellent.
Ugly Crap- Just what the title says. Ugly Crap.
Cake Wrecks- a lovely little blog documenting professional cakes, and the wrecks decorators make out of them- this includes the infamous Cupcake Cakes. Sundays are "Sunday Sweets"- well-decorated cakes. Updated daily.
The Sneeze- Gems from this blog include the yearly "raisins" post,
"Steve, Don't Eat It", and
"Cheap-Ass Cereals". Worth a read.
Lileks- Another lovely site, including
"The Gallery of Regrettable Food",
"Comic Sins", and
"The Story of Bread"- all found within the Institute of Official Cheer. As well as those items of interest, we have The Bleat, a blog detailing Lilek's daily life.
